Resize Images - Remove Extra White Space

Hello Photo Editing Experts,
I have 50 small images that I need to have resized. I also need to have the extra white spacing removed from around each of them before resizing.
Right now they are about 640x480. When resized, they will be about half that.
This is very easy work.
Just remove extra white spacing, then resize all to the same size that I need.
Wanting to get this done ASAP!
I want to get as much image quality as possible also.
