I have an open-source MATLAB code that computes a metric for checking if a given image is in focus and I would like the same code implemented in C++ so that it can be deployed on Android smartphones. Key requirements are as follows:
1. Use open-source libraries only.
2. The MATLAB code is not efficient, so we are looking for someone to not just port the code to C++, but also to refactor it to make it run efficiently on Android. Images can be down-sampled up to 1/20 of actual size, but computation on the phone should be no more than 0..25 seconds. If this requirement is too stringent, I would like to discuss that up front rather than late in to the project.
3. Code uses DFT, so familiarity with signal processing is essential.
I would like the code to be well-documented and written using any accepted style guide.
