Attached is a very detailed requirement for our company portal we are looking to create, it has been hashed out so that developers get a better understanding of what we need - in detail.
The site has the following major features:
Primary purpose is to collect information from users using forms and then allow them or other users to search / display, analyse and edit the data from the front-end. We only want the admin to go to backend for user administration and for adding new articles/modules/etc to the website.
Secondary purposes are to-do list, inter-user messaging and chat, assign tasks.
We would like to use MySQL as database, and storing the files on the file system, not in database directly.
We do not mind if you use Joomla 2.5 with additional features from acl manager, and or project fork/ ckk crosstec etcetera- however integration is key, and joomla is NOT necessary.
Most of the data gatherers are in remote locations and internet is slow, so http overhead has to be low for quicker page loading. Please bear that in mind.
The way we see it there are three methods to deploy this solution:
1- Form Maker to include all the details in the Documents sent to - Forms are Created By AB Staff and they can add more forms as and when needed
2- Form Maker to include all the details in the Documents sent to - Forms are Created By You and AB Staff can add more forms as and when needed
3- Hard Coded as per the Documents sent
It is felt that this job can be completed very effectively by experienced coders in less than 30 calendar days, and handed over in 30 calender days. PLEASE propose what you are comfortable with and provide your OWN feedback where possible.
We intend to deploy this solution on a Debian based Linux VPS.
At any given time, we do not expect more than 8 to 20 users concurrently working on the site. Ideal candidates will have experience developing corporate solutions with sql interaction and strict permission settings and front-end development ability.
