I have 28 DAO class files written in PHP that use mysqli calls. There are deployed as part of a WordPress plugin.
I need these converted to use $wpdb api calls instead.
There are about 5 methods in each class file, most small.
Example Before:
$sql = sprintf( 'SELECT wp_page_id FROM '
. $wpdb->prefix . $tablename
. ' WHERE id = %d', $id);
$result = mysqli_query($connection, $sql);
$rows = mysqli_fetch_array($result);
return $rows[0];
Example After:
global $wpdb;
$sql = 'SELECT wp_page_id FROM '
. $wpdb->prefix . $tablename
. ' WHERE id = %d';
return $wpdb->get_results($wpdb->prepare($sql, 1, $id ));
Attaching sample of one of the more complex methods (only about a dozen this complex, rest as simple get/put methods)).
Please provide sample converted file to be considered.
Providing class for for Query and Executor classes to add clarity - both are no longer desired in new design.
The new design should be flatter - less OOP
