Clone of activeX component for printing.

We have the need to print directly to printers from a browser without pop ups or prompting the end user to do anythin, this solution is working for us currently:

We would like a solution that does exactly the same but that we own and can continue developing.

This could be a standalone installation program if needed rather than activeX

If this could be cross browser compatible using a non activeX technologies then this can be discussed.

I have no idea how much this might cost.
