Description of project:
The task manipulates 2 files by a third file created by you.
The macro file you will create copies data from one file to another in specific order then engages a calculation in the second file and copies back the results to the first file, again in specific order.
The purpose of this project is to use calculated portfolios yields received each new month in order to calculate total standard deviation of last 60 months for each portfolio separately.
As previously mentioned there will be 3 files involved in this operation:
1. Input data file that contains the portfolios yields.
2. Historical data file that contains previous months yields.
3. Macro file (to be edited by you) uses two other files to calculate stdev.
## Deliverables
Methodology refers to 2 enclosed example files:
1. User opens Macro file and updates paths for input file and historical data file.
2. User clicks a macro button to upload new input data (portfolio yields) and aggregate them into historical data file at bottom of sheet "historical data".
3. Macro copies new month yields (e.g. 2010 09) of different portfolios to bottom of sheet "historical data" accordingly.
4. Macro drags the formula at sheet "output" to next row such way the stdev (standard deviation) applies to most recent 60 months including the new data entry of new month (e.g. 2010 09).
5. stdev results are copied back to input file next to its yields (column C).
6. Input and historical data files are being saved with the changes.
Important notes:
1. You may **not** assume the order of portfolios in input data file remains the same.
2. Macro code should be documented properly.
