AWS Signed URLs in React/Apollo app coming back as s3 url

I have a very specific problem I need hel with. My app uses signed urls to show pics. Sometimes when I login, instead of getting the signedurl I get [login to view URL]
If you know how to fix this let me know. Put "AWS" as the first word in your response.
