Create a chat software for communication

I need a simple webpage built to be a chat app. The messages will be pulled in through an SMS api provider, and the messages will be sent through an SMS api.
The chat page will have tabs with open active conversations, when clicking on the tab it will show that users conversation. The open chat will also have a panel to input text information.
This chat script will use jQuery AJAX and PHP with mysql database.
