Portable Program Launcher

Portable front end (like Pstart) application that autoruns from a memory stick.

My work involves computer support and maintenance. To improve my service, I am looking for a coder to build a "end user" style window that when run allows me to choose programs from a menu system.

The bulk of the window will show a company image

The menu system will allow me to open task manager, control panel and so on. I will also be running REG files that make updates to the registry.

I intend to have several folder containg portable applications which I use regularly.

This application will need to read data from a text file and then display the data in the menu.

The text file will need to contain at very least, the following:-

AppName

AppMenu

AppCaption

ProgPath

and so on.....

By changing the values and positions of the data within the file, I will be able to change the look and layout of the front end window.

What program language would you suggest for this application?

There are similar front end apps such as pstart but these won't do what I need. My image is about branding a service.

The software will be used on XP, Vista or Windows 7 but it MUST be portable and run from a flash drive.
