I've faced with server overload and mySQL limit excess recently and need help on this matter.
OpenX server optimization task include:
1. Optimize server resources consumption (CPU and RAM) by OpenX ad server (Revive Adserver in this case but is based on the same script).
2. Optimize MySQL queries to speed up connections opening and closing.
3. Add PHP caching mechanism
4. Make load testing to find out ad serving limits after optimization.
