Add Barcode Scanning to project

I have a completed program which has inventory and I would like to add barcode scanning to this.

The inventory currently uses an auto incremented ID for product [url removed, login to view] also has categories attached to the ID #.

Barcode scanning would be used for both adding inventory to the database and checkout of products. It can be added as a separate form to the program. This might be the best way to do this in the program as this will not alter the structure of the program.

The program is written in VB6 and uses mdac 2.7 and an access backend for the database. It already uses a electronic cash drawer and Epson thermal printer.

The barcode to be read would be a 39. I will provide more details if asked. I did not post a price for this bid, and will consider all reasonable bids on this.

UPDATE:coder to do: Add barcode scanning ability to [url removed, login to view] be willing to make any necessary adjustments as required for this to operate correctly for a 30 day period following the delivery of the final project. I do not only need the raw code, I need the coder to implement this in the program by giving me directions on exactly how to implement the barcode in "this" particular program. What is the best way to do it, etc.I will provide the coder chosen on this bid with a download link to the actual program. I need complete guidance on implementing barcode scanning into the program.
