hard disk partition recovery tool

The program will be a data recovery tool for hard disks allowing the user to scan his hard drives and to undelete lost partitions.

**Required skills**: You should have a good knowledge of the C++ language and some knowledge about how hard drives are logically organized (Sectors, Partitions, etc.) would be excellent but not required (I will give you the technical information required in HTML documents). The main emphasis of this project is to complete the program GUI and the program's functionality. Some basic functionality is already written and need to be completed (see detailed description and screenshots in attached documents). Part of this project is not to design or paint any GUI splash screens, bitmaps or images. I will do this myself ;-)

Some excellent coder gave me the hint Win2000/XP support a new partition scheme different from legacy MSDOS: Dynamic

Disks - I think we have to support it, at least a minimal subset of it (One volume->one component->one partition)

**Target hardware / OS**: Intel x86 compatible system, depending on your skills you can decide whether you would like to implement for

Note: the program should be written platform independant as possible so that adapting to a specific OS is as easy as possible. Therefore the software will use a platform independant GUI framework (details are described in the attached document).
