Word document editing in VB

1.)A process written VB 6 code to use Word2000 objects in the form of .dot files that can be used like a form. dot file will be protected and contain Word form fields that can be edited. Each form field will have a bookmark. The values in the fields will need to be saved to SQL2000 table using ADO OLE DB, most likely by looping through the collection of bookmarks. 2.)How to insert button or other method of accessing a sub document in the same .dot Word template format, then enable the same editing and saving process as above. ADDED CLARIFICATION: We want to open the word doc in an OLE control on a VB form and do the editing there (including any sub documents), without leaving the document. The idea is that our printed documents are all done using prefilled word templates (.dot files)using form fields. If we can just use the same .dot file as an entry form, we eliminate the need to create a vb form that duplicates the .dot file.

## Deliverables

We are simply after syntax and code to manipulate the Word object(s) in this way. We have written the code to prefill these documents, but don't have the man hours to research the Word object and get the process of editing and saving figured out.

## Deadline information

Must have as soon as possible. Expect to hear from some one who has already done this in another application and will sell us the code describing the process.
