Blog Counter Service

We need a free blogger/website counter service to be created similar to [url removed, login to view] but that also provides category trends, ie % of users who also visited Entertainment related sites. Graphs may need to be in dynamic flash or created on the fly from batch data (updated once a day perhaps). Must be robust enough to support 50-100 signups a day of new sites/bloggers and 5-10 million+ page views a month. Registration: Standard features such as check your email to confirm registration, etc. Information in the database needs to be linked to the ip address (and counter id) so that we can pull global reports to see if there are any trends in visitor behavior. Public Directory - When bloggers/sites register they get to choose the level of their data that will be public. They will be automatcially added to a database of bloggers with the title of the blog and description. A link to Blog Overview should show category data based on behaviorial information. Example: ie % of Entertianment users. This is found by cross referencing users who visited blogs/sites in other categories and who also went to that particular blog. Sites Not Using The Service - We would like to have a search box for sites. - If a site searched for is not using our free counter (very likely) then we would look at referal data to display stats for it. Example: [url removed, login to view] might be the refferal on blogs/sites (who are using this free counter) across multiple categories so the report could show % of [url removed, login to view] visitors who were in the Entertainment category. Global Reports - an admin needs to be able to login to see category data across all sites, ie % of users visiting Entertainment blogs. Prefference given to coders who could help us determine appropriate sample sizes for category level data, ie 100 refferals are needed before showing 10% are Entertainment related. We will work with you to define the reports.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

Linux, mySQL prefered. Knowledge of server admin needed as we will have you start the project working with a new server most likely. DB Admin knowledge needed as the amount of data collected will be quite large.
