Calling text from a mysql database

What i wish to add is my own template design copyright, that will site just above theirs, a bit like "Deigned By ***" text.
What i wish to have is this text called from my mysql database to display this text as well as having an sql script that the buyer will load into there mysql database.
The problem with me doing it is that the txt file needs to be put in a .tpl file and PHP gets stripped in a .tpl file. I have javascript presently in place, but this is client side code and can very easily be removed.
Though i fully appreciate that with the knowledge any copyright text can be removed, i wish to make it as difficult as possible for the buyer to find such links. I am also hoping that if they do remove any of the copyright links that the page will not display.
I hope this makes things clear.
Full code required as well as full folder locations and how to install or change details myself if i require to do so.
This will also have to be installed by the coder.
The coding is for Cubecart [url removed, login to view] shopping cart but must also be universal.

## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Coder will also install the program to mysql and all folders of which there is one.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
