CSS Style Sheet Fix

I have 2 sites with very little style sheet problem

1) Header image is not appearing in IE 8.0 & Firefox, So i need fix for both R & Firefox so that background header image appears

2)White background appears in IE 8.0 where it shouldn't be where as its ok in Firefox.

So i need the coder to fix these two problem
