Working project: STM32F207 (runs at 120MHz) with USB ...problem however is now that the imgages are misformed it seems like a FSMC setup issue i have played with different timings but it still doesn't work correctly. If i drop the CORE speed of the STM32 to about 32MHz it seems to work OK. This indicates a setup problem. I have to work on other parts of the project and would need someone to look into this problem in detail. Attached are the relevant datasheets as well as the project. The project is built in Atollic Truestudio for ARM. A trial of this can be downloaded from the atollic website. In this project I'm using the STM32F207 uC to copy images from a USB disk to an On board NOR FLash chip (M29W128). The images are also display on a 7" LCD. Images can then be displayed on the LCD direct from the NOR IC either using the DMA controller of the STM32F207 or using direct transfer. The problem however is that for some reason the images uses double the amount of space in the NOR Flash ic than what is needed. And this can also be seen when displaying the images from the NOR IC, halve of the data is not used. Hi I have a project where is use a STM32F207 uC to display data and images on a 7" TFT LCD. Images are stored on a NOR flash chip. The image display function I wrote is now able to display any image in flash on the LCD using the fsmc bus of the uC. The problem is that it is too slow and must be done using the DMA channels of the uC. I am however running out of time and i'm focussing on the system level firmware. Effectively I need someone to take my firmware and change it so that images are displayed using the DMA controller and so freeing uC resources for other use. Efficient completion will lead to more work.
