The API information should be filled at phpBB Admin panel. On the frontend, to not hit the API limits, the best thing to do I beleive is to reparse the code content only by clicking on a button that would appear probably on the side of "Select All" from code bbcode, saying "Generate Special Urls", that will replace the content with the new genearated urls from the api.
