I need a program that will count visitors coming inside a store. My chosen program input would be video stream from a colored video camera. It is necessary for the program to be intelligent, differentiating people coming inside a store from push carts to other inanimate objects.
The data output should be a flat file (csv), and include in counts, out counts, time and date stamp. Functionality should include a net count (in minus out) at specific times. It should be able to automatically save the files at pre-determined intervals (hourly, daily).
Aside from the csv file, the program should also have a real time graphic/image indicator of the customer counts and customer flow.
Preferably, the program would have a graphical user interface, making it appealing to the eyes.
I want to be able to see the video coming from the cameras, but they do not necessarily have to always be shown all the time.
I am also looking into using monochrome cameras and thermal imaging cameras as image source.
