Evidenced Based Research Paper Criteria Points Choose a NURSING topic of interest to you. It can be anything related to the practice of nursing. (For example it can be interventions to prevent catheter infections, interventions to prevent pressure ulcers, proper protocols for dressing a wound, the impact of twelve hour shifts on quality of care, the effect of mentoring on persistence in nursing, impact of EHR on nursing , the impact of technology on medication errors, etc). Provide a detailed overview of the topic. 15 points Perform a detailed literature review on the topic in NURSING journals. Use peer reviewed, scholarly articles- not websites (i.e. no webMD). Summarize the findings of the literature review. (This will be a lengthy part of your paper- you will want to present the findings of the major articles) 30 points Describe how the findings of the literature review can be used to improve your practice or what you would recommend to be changed in protocols. 25 points Explain the challenges of implementing the evidenced based practice. Describe steps you will take to implement the evidenced based practice. 20 points Use proper APA format. Paper should be approximately 7-10 pages. 10 points
