REPORT CONTENTS Your report must contain 2 sections: 1. My Personal Reflection 2. Academic Misconduct 1. My Personal Reflection In this section you should write about the following: • What are the differences between the UK Higher Education system and your previous experience of education? • What are your strengths? • What are the areas you need to develop? • How will you improve the areas you need to develop? What support will you make use of? • How has the Foundations of Computing Research course helped you? 2. Academic Misconduct In this section you should write about the following: • What have you learned about Academic Misconduct? • What is plagiarism? • What is collusion? • What strategies can you use to make sure that you avoid Academic Misconduct? Referencing To demonstrate what you have learned about the correct way to reference sources you must include four references in the Academic Misconduct section of your report. You can decide where to include the references but they must be relevant to your discussion. You must follow the School of Computing referencing standard. Your four references must be one from each of the following sources: • 1 journal article • 1 conference paper • 1 book • 1 website Appendices Appendix A must contain your MS Project Plan for your Masters Project. Appendix B must contain your first Strengths and Development Areas analysis. Appendix C must contain your second Strengths and Development Areas analysis. REPORT FORMAT You should use the report template that you developed during your report writing tutorial.
