$2-8 USD / hour

I need a good article writer to help me with ongoing work. Must be highly proficient in English (preferably native). The pay in $0.3 per 100 words, please don't bid if you're not fine with this rate. To apply don't write a cover letter, but simply write 3+ sentences on why ice floats. All articles , including the small excerpt you write here, must pass Copyscape. The chosen bidder will have to do a small sample before being hired, which will be payed if the writer is chosen. Happy bidding!

Thank you for the invitation! I actually did not know the answer to precisely why ice floats so I had to look up. What I learned is that unlike many other liquids that can become solid, ice is less dense than water. In most cases the solid form of a liquid is more dense. Since ice, unlike rocks or other more dense objects, is lighter than water, the ice will float. I look forward to hearing from you about this opportunity. All the Best, Margaret

Before addressing the question as to why Ice floats on water, it would be instructive to know how ice is formed in the first place. Water when it reaches freezing point, forms into a crystal lattice structure which is large in volume but low in density when compared to water; this crystal lattice structure, or ice, due to its lower density and less mass per unit of volume in comparison to water is thereby able to float on water.

I am ok with your terms & condition. 1. Ice floats on water because ice has less density than water. 2. Ice produces a crystal lattice which takes up about 9% more space than water. Thus the lighter ice displaces heavier water and thereby ice floats to the top. 3. The density of water is maximum at 4°C temperature. Below 4°C temperature, water is less sensed. The temperature of ice is 0°C. That is why ice floats on water. 4. The specific gravity of water is 1. Thus anything which has lesser specific gravity than water floats on it. The ice has specific gravity of 0.9168. Thus it floats on water. 5. When the temperature of water gets below 4°C the chemical bonds in water molecule are forced to be longer. Thus the density of ice becomes lesser than water. That’s why ice floats on water.
