Smokeless Electronic Cigarettes –
This Is How They Work
Smokers of traditional cigarettes who are urged to make a shift to smokeless electronic cigarettes (also known as electronic cigarettes, e-cigarettes, e-cigs, electronic cigs, smokeless cigarettes, etc.) often ask how these smoking devices work. When you look at an e-cig, you will notice that its appearance is similar to the traditional cigarettes. The difference lies in not having real tobacco in them, and you need not lit them, so there’s no real smoke to inhale. But what is it that you puff on? What does it contain and how does it exactly perform?
Let us first take a look at the components of an electronic cigarette. Most shells of the smokeless electronic cigarettes are made of stainless steel. Inside the shell are the atomizer, a replaceable cartridge, a rechargeable lithium battery, and a microelectronic circuit. Generally, the cartridge is flavored; it also is the deciding factor to the strength of your smokeless electronic cigarettes. The content of the cartridge include water, propylene glycol and nicotine and they are held together by a membrane. A scent is also present to mimic various flavors such as tobacco, chocolate, etc.
