Here is a small excerpt from one of my favorite articles that I have written:
"One should not be so ignorant to dismiss science as a remarkably useful tool for humanity. On the contrary, the rational thinker must accept the fact that science does provide us with tremendously beneficial knowledge about how our physical world works. As a result of empirical knowledge, we may save lives, extend our life, and improve the quality of our temporary life because of science. However, just as we have demonstrated in this discussion, we cannot and will not be able to answer all of the important questions that are a part of the human experience using science alone.
Consequently, philosophy is undoubtedly here to stay, and in a civilization that is benefiting considerably from the fruits of science, we cannot forget that it is ultimately philosophy that gives science that solid foundational understanding that it needs to have for its own survival."
