C++ Project - Modify existing C++ program

I have an application which currently does 98% of what I need it to do. However, I need this application updated to read a couple of additional parameters from the registry. The application is in Visual Studio C++ and MUST remain in Visual Studio C++. It MUST be compiled in VS 2010 though it is currently in VS 2008.
