Advice on either pivot table or macro

I want to write a macro (or pivot table filter) that will identify in a 10,000 entry datasheet of enrolment events which units have only teachers in them, but no students. So there will be one column which has a unit code and will have between 2 and 50 duplicate rows around it denoting enrolment events of both teachers and students. The designator of whether a unit is a real teaching unit is whether it has students enrolled; however some units appear in the datasheet but only have teachers enrolled, not students, and are therefore not real teaching units (they might be training, etc). I want to put this data into a pivot table that shows me distinct counts of units, students and teachers, but which does not count units or teachers in which no students are enrolled. The student/teacher data is a row entry in the next column to the unit code. To reiterate, I want my pivot table to report distinct counts of units, students and teachers, but only for those units that have students in them - I do not want to count units that only have teachers in them. Any suggestions?

Hi, I understand that you need to extract only teaching units where an enrolment counts when a teacher and a student together are enrolled. I can create a macro to loop through each row to check this condition and do a distinct count on this while copying the extracted data to a certain place on the excel sheet. Regards :)
