I edit copy for a living. Not only is creating accurate, error-free copy a passion, it's also how I make my living. I'm employed full time as an editor at a newspaper in the Washington, D.C. area. I deal with short and concise hard news articles as well as long-form journalism and features. As a voracious reader, I'm excited by the prospect of editing a book. My editing style stays very true to the author. I started in journalism as a reporter and so I know first-hand the pain of having your work completely re-written by an editor. I do ask a lot of questions. In editing for newspapers it's important to question every statement on points of accuracy. While I doubt very much such issues would arise in editing a children's book, just know that my background has given me an eye for discrepancies, even the minor ones. As I'm new to this website I am more than willing to complete this project at the lowest end of your budget range. After all, I know you'd be taking a chance by accepting my bid.
