Doing it with Excel isn't the best way but if that's what you want, we can do it. It would be better to connect with a .NET app so you can view it from anywhere, then copy-into-Excel if you need To, but we can do it this way if it works. Hi Eadri, This type of functionality should be straight forward, the main issues will be amount of data within the database (if you have a big database, we would need to implement some stored procedures/views, it would be good practice to do this anyway). To complete this project I will need a few bit of information/pieces of data. 1) A desired report layout (if you have one, else it will be quite basic). 2) The type and version of the database the marketing system runs on. 3) A copy of the database and if possible documentation to explain what data is in which table (with some test/demo data, not live data). 4) Quantity of data expected to be reported on, this is so I know whether to do a straight Excel report or need to design some views/stored procedures. 5) What report filters (you've mentioned sales person, year) or are you just expecting it based on the date it's run. So you are aware, I'm a database developer, and I'm currently studying for my MCSE in Business Intelligence for SQL Server. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Hi there, I can help you with this. I do this daily. Yes, we can put it in Excel for you, but since the data is already in Access, it would actually be easier to keep it there. The report writing in Access is better. The only reason to take it to Excel is if you have specific needs. but even calculations can be done in Access very nicely. Hi, I understand you need to connect the excel worksheet to a database. This can be done using excel VBA. Will need the connections strings to the database and the type of database and i/p address etc. to connect to the database and then we can get the data onto the excel sheet and complete the work.
