This is to design a website based in WordPress for a Nursing Home. The site has to be designed using the WordPress Content Management System (CMS), one that is easy to maintain and update, while speaking to the many different target audiences. The look and feel of the website needs to project a feeling of warmth, cleanliness, tranquility and happiness. The website needs to project the excellent care and facilities that are available and this will be complemented by photography of the home and the surroundings. The new website needs to be written in Plain English, so it is easily understood by people from all ages and walks of life. This must not patronise the target audiences, but have to explain the complex nature of health and social care. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Should be included. The new website needs to promote ‘Excellence in Healthcare’ as a main theme. A copy of the proposed website structure is attached. The homepage needs to be the face of the nursing home's online presence, so it needs to ensure that it looks warm, inviting and modern. A possible slider can showcase the best elements of the Nursing Home and interactive features can direct website users around the website. This needs to highlight the key information that we need visitors to see and interact with. The page ‘*** Nursing Home’ is a landing page that needs to showcase the services and facilities that are available to residents of the home. It needs to provide links to other pages under this section, displaying information about the home, accommodation, dining and meals, the lounges, gardens and surroundings and social events and entertainment. Care Services refers to information about the different types of care that are available from the Nursing Home. Primarily this section is here to ensure that the website is well Search Engine Optimised (SEO) for care services. It will also explain to the website visitors what each type of care involves. It will also include information on Admissions within this section. More detail can be provided, and help with content will also be provided. No research will be required.
