Build an online "path-based gear generator"

Something similar to the one that Disney Studios built: [login to view URL] What I want is simpler than the above. I don't need all the 3D hooks, I just need the ability to draw a path, and to have animating gears generated based on that path. Using it would work like this: 1) Navigate to the webpage w/ my browser 2) Using my mouse, draw a path, or enter raw numbers to create the path 3) Allow me to skew the path, dragging corners (like in video) 4) Press a button to generate the gears/linkages. Animates in realtime. 5) Optionally add additional paths. This would mean the rendered gears/linkages would control both paths. 6) Somehow output exact numbers on gear positioning, size, and teeth.
