Create a simple lighting control app for iPhone

Hi! I'm a web and mobile developer just getting by on this site. So I'm bidding low to get my first projects. I'm interested in getting a positive review, so I'll do my best to make the project in the best way possible. The project is defined quite clearly. I like the idea, the app will be beneficial to lots of people and that makes me to build it even more. There're several points I would like to highlight: * I would make the app ready to be localised. I believe this thing should be made for the whole world. * The server might be unresponsive or return an error, so it's important to pay special attention to dealing with such cases. * The list of controllers would be stored in the NSUserDefaults. * I would suggest moving the "Add controller" button from the navigation bar to the table view (under all the controllers) or the toolbar. I feel like putting the "Edit" button in the navigation bar. * In the edit mode, the user can remove controllers and renaming them. Probably, rearranging would better go in that mode too. * There'd be a separate ViewController for adding controllers with just 2 fields: Name and ID.

Hi, I've developed several home-automation and lab apps (light, fan, power-socket, window, scale) using Bluetooth LE. A lot of these techniques apply directly to your app: * "Settings" for general app parameters, and user preferences * "+" to add a new device * Show "list" of devices, allowing re-ordering * Use "slider" and "switch", to send control messages to devices It's good practice to separate out the different modules of the app, so where I've used a "bluetooth" communication component, we would add a new "UDP and/or HTTP" component, for sending the commands to your proxy server. (This also makes it straightforward to keep the UDP/HTTP commands up-to-data, if you are still developing your communication protocol.) I develop apps for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad running iOS 9, using Xcode and Swift. You can see some examples of my work, and client reviews of my completed projects, on my Freelancer profile page. (Have a look at the "Semacue" app, which uses sliders and buttons to control bluetooth lights.) For $250, we could get a good proof-of-concept app in place, using well-commented, structured code, which could easily be extended to add further features.
