Hello, I have great exposure of AWS. I have exposure on EC2, RDS, Route 53, SNS, SES Services. I also have exposure on Setting up VPS on Digital Ocean (Similar service provide like AWS). I have already configured the email server on Ubuntu itself. In that case you wont need to use SES. I have exposure on applications installation & configuration. As well as I have installed & configured Lamp on server + ftp. Lets discuss in details for better solution. Thanks

Hi I have 8 + years' experience on managing Linux servers (Debian & CentOS flavour). I have been working with AWS (Amazon Web Services) products for the past 4.5 years. I have deployed around 300 + web and mobile applications on different Dedicated Virtual servers. I have also handled around 90 + Migrations to AWS alone. I have worked on both LAMP stack as well on Java + tomcat as well. I understand your project requirements and I can help you with the task. Looks like a really straight forward project. Few questions though which will help you choose a better solution: 1. Do you have a global user base? - If Yes, Is your application ready to do geo-load balancing? AWS Load balancers have very limited capability to load balance across the regions. If not, then probably you should consider using Geo-DNS service providers to routing traffic based on where the user is coming from. Its costly though. 2. If you are thinking of using RDS service, remember it does not provide ability to replicate though it has read replicas. Try hosting mysql on EC2 that will give you a lot more flexibility like easy and real time backups, millisecond precision if you are trying to do performance troubleshooting especially for slow queries. 3. Use Nagios for monitoring.. its very straight forward Open Source tool. You can build your own custom scripts and plugins.. Basically it gives you a lot of flexibility and control on what you want to monitor and how.
