I'm looking for someone to make a small customised plugin for WordPress which will run along side an installation of the plugin BuddyPress.
Aim of the plugin:
------------------------
To organise and run an anonymous gift exchange service, like a secret santa.
Key features:
------------------------
From here on I'm going to call the person "sending" the gift the "gifter", and the person receiving the gift the "giftee".
The plugin should create a page, visible only once the user has authenticated, under the wordpress installation which works under BuddyPress which has the following fields or options:
- Field showing giftee's name (or if unavailable, display placeholder text such as "not available)
- User must have ability to mark gift as sent, and an extra field to provide postage information (carrier, tracking number etc)
- Ability to mark gift as received
- There will be some values on the user's profile page, such as name, address, country, opt in/out of gift exchange and opt in/out of international shipping. These need to be read by the plugin in order to correctly display data to the user on the page when they are logged in.
Back-end functionalities
------------------------
As each user is both a gifter and a giftee different bits of information will need to be available and visible to them.
Initially, before matching, the page will not be available to them. The site admin needs the option of randomly matching users to each other, which also takes into account their international shipping preferences. Please note, person A and person B should not be sending gifts to each other, it should be more like A sends to B, B sends to C, C sends to A!
Once matches have been generated, the matches should be stored and an email should be generated and sent to the user's registered account mail, informing them that matching has taken place. The "match" page is then visible to users. When logged in each gifter should see a section of the page entitled "Gift that I'm sending" or similar and see his or her giftee's name and shipping address. They should have the option of marking the item as shipped (along with the field for shipping details, tracking ID etc). In addition to this, in a different section of the page called "The gift I'm receiving", they should have the option of marking their gift as received. This option should only be available once the gifter has marked the gift as sent.
Any other information or questions, please don't hesitate to ask! For an idea of the sort of thing, please check websites such as [login to view URL] or elfster.com. Please note, I only require the core gift exchange management functionality - extras such as galleries, private messaging etc are not required!
