Copy New Files Only

Project: Copy New Files Only. 1) This project must be able to scan the source folder (with multiple sub-folders) (destination folder) - (compare) for new files quickly - but without taking 100% of the cpu and bogging down the computer. 2) After determining what is new - quickly copy only the new files to a destination of choice - never over-writing a file. The number of files that will be new on a daily basis will be around 500 files - however, the folders will have over 250,000 files in them. I only want what is new. 2b) If you want to create an index of files or db - to keep track - this will be up to you - it's fine with me - as long as it is done quickly. 3) Files that might cause an error, stop the program or in use - should be avoided, and a log stating what - why and how. The program should be smart enough to bypass any errors and continue with the copy process. 4) This program could be simular to a Sync Program - however, without all of the bells and whistles. It should do (1) and (2) above. 5) Speed is important - however, bogging the system down is more important. The system should not be bogged down. 6) C++ is preferred - however, other languages will be considered. No premade software or syncronization software will be considered. We have already been down this road. Regards ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows 2000
