We need a team to help us design & develop a new DB-driven website. The site will offer much of the same functionality as Yahoo Answers, including enabling users to: - ask questions - answer questions - choose a best answer - vote on answers - flag inappropriate contact We will need the following services: Web Design - Design 15 web pages: we will want help designing site templates, layout, look-and-feel, UI. - Provide valid XHTML & CSS with table-less layouts Web Development - Create data model - Create MySQL DB - Develop required page & business logic using PHP 5 & Smarty templates Since this site's functionality has already been developed by many sites on the Internet, we want developers who have experience using open source libraries / scripts, etc...as much as possible - we do NOT want developers who want to create customized code when / if there is open source code already avaiable! Please only experienced RAC coders with experience designing & developing larger websites. We will not consider first-time RAC coders. Message us if you want to learn more about the requirements.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
Website must be able to run on LAMP architecture. Markup must be cross-browser compatible: Firefox, IE, Safari and Opera.
