We're looking for a real actionscript guru who can tweak the enclosed game and add some functionality / changes to it. The enclosed game is a very simple Flash tetris game.
The changes we need are:
i. Currently the game only executes in FRAME 1 and always stays there no matter what frame you're on. We need a function to start (activate) the game and one function to end (deactivate/hide) the game
ii. Currently if you get a row without any holes in it instead of making the row go away we want to keep it there (yes - we realize this will make the game very limited)
iii. Instead of random colors we want random bitmaps in the blocks. You can hardcode 6 bitmaps in the library to use - they should be the same size of the block
iv. instead of a rectangle playing field we would like differnet shapes of playing fields. We are open to how these playing fields can be defined but we suggest that an array of rows outlining the details of each row can be used.
For example - a playing field like this:
x x x x _
x x x _ _
_ x x x x
can be defined as:
5,0,4
5,0,3
5,0,5
5,1,4
using the format ROW WIDTH, OFFSET, FIELD WIDTH
Again - we are completely open to how to define this playing field syntaxically as long as there is some method for which we can define multiple playing fields and then invoke the game with one specific one.
The playing field will in essence only limit where pieces can be moved to (left/right) and where they will end up. There will be no other functionality
vi. We also need a function that will show the current playing field in a light gray so user can clearly see where they can move pieces to/on
That's pretty much it - a good Actionscript programmer shoudl managing this in only a few hours I think. Please advise if there are any questions
