Adding columns to a PHP script

I currently have a PHP script that fetches products from a database and it currently displays them one per line and so lists them vertically with the next product being below the last. What I want is an altered script that will list the products with 2 or 3 per line and then the same amount on the next line so I will have more than one product horizontally and then the same amount on the next line. I'm not sure if I will need 2 or 3 so I would like both doing. So let me know if you need any more information and I look forward to hearing from you, Steven Wishaw.
