Customized Linux distribution with AIR application

We need a customized (Ubuntu-based?) Linux distribution for running our Adobe AIR app. We also need to remove all unnecessary components to save space on the image for quicker downloads. We will need to remove support for printers, filesharing, installed internet browsers, etc, but we want to keep as many drivers as possible. We would prefer custom installer, if possible.
