App to keep MySQL db updated with Ebay Completed sales

The software should: 0. Be written in Perl using the WWW::Search::Ebay modules; 1. Run in text mode only (no GUI); 2. Have text files to configure the following items: Search string to be provided to the Ebay "completed auctions" search engine (for instance "cookbook* -pizza +cake"); Username and password for Ebay login; Username and password for MySQL login; Database and table to keep updated in MySQL; 3. Be able to be run daily from Linux cron or Microsoft Task Scheduler; 4. When invoked, the app should: (1) login to ebay using the username/password in the config file; (2) Query Ebay's 'completed auctions' search and extract the following data items: Auction number, URL of original auction page, thumbnail photo (if any), item title, item description (from original bid page), item price, item shipping cost, currency (e.g. US$, GBP, etc.), number of bids, and end date. (3) Append the item data extracted to an existing MySQL table, ignoring any errors from duplicate auction numbers. The MySQL table has the following structure: CREATE TABLE ebay ( id int(10) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, auction_number bigint(20) unsigned, title varchar(240), price decimal(8,2), shipping decimal(8,2), currency varchar(8) DEFAULT 'US', bids tinyint(4), enddate datetime, url varchar(120), description text, thumbnail blob, PRIMARY KEY (id), UNIQUE item (auction_number) ); (4) Insert the extracted data items into the MySQL database. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
