Instruction with phpMyAdmin

I need some basic guideance with using this tool. In particular: duplicating a database; importing data from a production db to a QA db; and finding a group of students by a given criteria (say, missing their home phone number) and extracting their e-mail addresses to remind them to complete their profile. If you are able to teach me to do this via AIM, I'm pretty sure it's less than an hour of your time. Thanks!
