I work with Python regularly and I have worked with FFMPEG multiple times. In my spare time, I develop web services and I know XML enough to have implemented XPath multiple times even though I am not going to. I am also a final year computer science student at Rhodes University. In case you are interested to know the technology I will use, I'm going to use Flask for all the routing (including receiving of data from the client) for the web service and I will use Python 3's standard JSON and XML libraries for the handling of requests and responses.
