The below sample is taken from one of my case studies written on Russia. "The collapse of Soviet Union in 1991 was an event which brought hope and endless possibilities for the Russian people, after decades of communist rule. The disintegration of the Soviet Union was appreciated world over, especially by the US, which hailed the event as the victory of democracy and proof of capitalism’s supremacy over socialism. Anatoly Chubais , the lead reformer in the Russian government, was credited with devising the Russian privatisation process.
It was then believed by many that Russia was on its way to become a capitalist and a democratic country. But the new regime of Yeltsin was very fragile and corrupt to carry on the reform process in the desired manner."
