This is to design the database backend for an application that will allow users to see upcoming events and, for certain events that are set-up as 'volunteer' events, select an open time slot and volunteer. We will need a user table (for authentication and linking to events), events (which will include location, date, time, and details, including whether the event is a volunteer event and, if so, timeslots that are available and the number of users needed per timeslot with a description for each timeslot) and then a way to link it all together. Deliverables shall include the following: 1. SQL statement that executes on latest MySQL 2. SQL Query to get a specified user's events 3. SQL Query to get an event 4. SQL Query to get open timeslots for an event that is indicated as a volunteer item.
