Configure Event Forwarding for Windows Server

I need to configure two Windows Servers: The first will be a Windows Event Collector The second will be a Windows Event Forwarder. The two servers are not in the same domain, and need to use self signed certificates in order to authenticate each other. In addition to the actual configuration, I require a document explaining in detail how the configuration was done. This includes step by step guidance, as well as full description of command line tools used & their command line arguments. All of the above will be included in the first milestone. The second milestone requires a script for automatic configuration of a Windows 7 / Windows 8 client to forward events to the Windows Server. This script needs to run on non-domain computers, and create a client certificate which will be used for authentication. Credentials for Windows Server VMs will be provided after project initialization.
