Checkboxes populating a text area

I have a script that places check boxes on the page and when clicked adds the value to a text area. When the checkbox is unticked it removes the value from the text area. In firefox if you select the checkboxes then remove one and re select another it keeps everything in the same lines. EG: apples oranges Grapes In Internet Exlporer 7/8 if you select the check boxes then remove some you keep ending up with blank spaces EG: Apples Oranges Grapes to see a working example here is a link [View test page][1] Preview it in Firefox add and remove the checks then re add them to see the perfect working version do the same in IE and you will see the issue. I want it to behave the same as it is in Firefox.
