Converting a batch file to a vbs or powershell script

I have written a few .bat files to copy data from computers and servers to a specific location using robocopy. The batch files / scripts work fine, but we are not using any variables so machine names and paths must be entered in severl times throughout the scripts. This takes time and leaves plenty of room for error. I would like to convert the simple .bat files to either power shell scripts or VB scripts so that we can enter the variables once instead of several times. I do not expect this to be a very difficult project. The second phase of this project would be scripting the following: 1. remove any printer that is installed from a print server or shared computer / server 2. install the printers locally using a TCP port 3. disjoin the machine from the domain with a standard username and password or with no authentication. The purpose is to prepare an environemt for a migration to our hosted facility. We are providing desktop as a service and a migration to our facility requires many steps including the above mentioned items that we are currently doing [login to view URL] it is taking too much time. i need to get as much of it scripted as possible. The project type is fine either way. i have to pick either fixed price or hourly. im fine with either.
