Curriculum and Lesson Planner

BPS Lesson Planner is a tool that allows teachers to build and submit lesson plans (based on a 12 hour schedule) in a web-based program where they log-in and select school standards that correlate to teacher-created activities. Administrator will need to have the flexibility to add standards if need be. Drop-down menus(don't have to actually drop-down, just some method by which they must select the standard that the activity relates to) once lesson plan is built, must allow for a submission process to an administrator who has the option to reject, modify or give comments back to submitter. Teachers must be able to attach documents (photos, videos, word documents, pdfs, music files) that relate to their lessons. There should be a way to print out a final copy of the plan, and a way to approve plans one by one or as a group. Interface should be modern, include logo and other personalizing/branding elements. Teachers should have unique logins and profile, and should be able to share information with one another related to the plans,so that portions of good plans can be used by others. Author of lesson plan has to agree to sharing for info to be used by another teacher, however, with administrator have full access to produce plans made from other plans. Would like a module within the program called BPS Meal planner that is the lesson plan template for the chef where a menu of 2 meals and three snacks a day can be selected from pre-existing options. Printed menu should have a consistent appearance with school logo and have clip art options where a weekly theme may apply. BPS Lesson Planner should have a mechanism by which students can be loaded in to a profile under a teacher or classroom (able to change assignments as students move) and teachers and administrators can track progress of particular students based on the standards. Individual student plans designed by selecting a group of particular standards a student needs to work on should be able to be designed by teachers and administrators. There should be a summary document that could serve as a parent conference document that details a child's progress through the program. There ought to be a way to limit the information disclosed to parents (not full student profile). Would like design to be easily used for development of an app- for iphone/android. Limited login should also be available to parents wanting to get more frequent updates of a student's progress, though these updates will not be driven by school standards, just regular classroom correspondence (Student had a great day, student needs supplies, upcoming classroom events).
