We have an occasional stream of transcription work and, accordingly, need more people to help us! We are looking for an additional, reliable individual or team who can take dictation files (usually in Olympus DSS Pro format or AIFF) and type these into provided Microsoft Word template reports. There are two parts to this. Firstly, we are keen to appoint someone almost immediately to take approximately 30 to 40 audio minutes and type it up in the next day. They are medium quality recordings with Australian accents. Accordingly, if you are able to work over the next 24 hours and guarantee to complete the task to quality expectations, then we can commit to this virtually immediately. Secondly, going forward, there is likely to be additional transcription for you to do. The volume of work will be ad hoc, but we have a preference to find someone who we can use on a repeated basis. So, if you do a good job on the first task, then there is likely to be ongoing work. You must be accurate, reliable and have a strong attention to detail, including spelling and formatting. You must be able to consistently offer a turnaround in under 24 hours or less ie we will send them to you end of the day Sydney time and prefer turnaround by the morning Sydney time. Our expectation is that you will check your work and meet deadlines and accuracy expectations. We've found some good people on Freelancer in the past, some of whom we continue to work with. Both quality and reliability are important to us. In other words, we expect you to be able to commit to deadlines and produce good work--if you cannot do both, then please don't bid. Important: 1. Please let us know of your experience in doing transcription work like this and what software and playback equipment you have. Every transcriber in our team has their own footpedal and software they prefer. We work by our: "One Client One Transcriber" method, meaning that if you get one transcriber assigned to your name you stick with them all the way. This only changes if you want larger, urgent, volumes of audio transcribed. I've been working as a transcriber for years now and I have a lot of clients (AU based especially) to back me up, so if you need anyone to vouch for me I can give you some names that you probably already know. Hi, I am interested with your project. 1. I am quoting 30AUD per audio hour. 2. I am available monday March 3. Yes I can turnover 40 mins of audio in 24 hours. 3. I did transcription of phone interviews, the topic is cloud computing, personal interviews between researcher/student and mental health care workers/doctors. The latest are webinars regarding fertility and one on one interviews regarding floor covering products; carpets, ceramic and wood floors. I prefer transcribing health related audio, I am a health buff, physical culturist and have medical transcription background which would be helpful. I hope to hear samples first, so I would be sure If I could commit to transcribing a particular audio, I do not want to promise and then receive a an audio sample that although good quality, I am not familiar with the speaker's accent. With over 15 years of typing experience on ms word, I have a very fast speed in typing with almost 100% accuracy. I have a lot of spare time and can devote even more than the hours I have bid for, if you need me to do that. I have already done some copy typing and am transcription work and you can see the reviews in this regard. I am an experienced digital audio Medical Transcriber specializing in Focus Groups and depth interviews involving consultants, nurses and other healthcare specialists in medical research. I am happy to transcribe difficult accents and technical terminology and my turnaround is up to 2 hours of recorded time transcribed within 24 hours. I have a foot pedal and my software is Express Scribe although I have used other systems in the past. I would work for 83 AUD per audio hour. I assume you would either send a link with the file attached or use a file carrier such as "You send it" and I would return a Word document. Thanks Julie

Dear sir, I would do the project for you 17.58 AUD/hr. My availability for the next 24 hours to complete the 30- 40 minutes recording is confirmed. As I possess previous experience of handling video transcription work for Mechanical turk , completing the work with quality and on time will not be a difficult task for me. In order to do the work I have Microsoft windows loaded laptop ,headphones. Also have software like windows media player, VLC player, KM player and Microsoft office 2007 pack. Hello, I have a team of 7 top notch transcribers and 3 editors suited for an assignment such as yours. All my professionals (US, SA and Canada) are expert in English and well versed with MS Word with average computer typing speed of 55wpm. Atop this, for timestamps and tricky/accented audio we have a British cover of 2 editors (both MBAs) as well. I believe yours is a job that I can truly do justice to and with the experience of my team and their grasp of the subject, I can assure you that the performance would be unparalleled. To now the details you've asked for: 1) There's a lot of moving parts in transcription, i.e., accent of speaker(s) (which you've mentioned - Australian), clarity of audio, research involved, formatting and so on. I'd need to listen to a job snippet to be to be able to give you an exact quote. Let me know how that works out for you. 2) I can maintain the TAT you're asking for. 3) I've been in the transcription industry since 2000, so about 14 years now. I started out as a transcriber and now I have my team. So it basically works as a system here. We get the audio>listen to it once>start typing (sans research)>pass on the file to the editor who edits it and does the research. It increases the TAT to 1:5 as compared to 1:3.5 that some of our peers offer but a second-person ear ensures substantially better quality. 4) Understood.
