Improve on existing Android and iOS application framework

We'd like to hire someone to fork an existing Android and iOS project where the owner has moved on and left the project defunct. The engineer we're looking for needs to be proficient in Android and iOS application development, but not UI design. The existing framework abstracts purely-native application development out to configuration files. Those files afford an offline-first plus real-time socket updates when online. The framework already has a built-in UI solution which may be updated in future phases. The initial fixed-price work effort is to complete the following: 1. Create stable Android and iOS development environments on hosted workstations that we provide. (e.g. MacStadium VDI and Azure VDI) 2. Recreate a demo application reusing an existing demo's file to learn the framework for both environments. 3. Implement features into new demo that are fully documented features to improve demo application to include all currently available features. (e.g. updating components in the app based on the emitted event from an authenticated websocket) 4. Create a fresh production-ready offline application via configuration file examples in demo with an authorized websocket connection using the available existing features in the updated demo. Future possible hourly work: 1. Develop several applications for clients. 2. Extending the platform to work on touchscreen kiosks powered by Android. 3. Implement new Android and iOS features to framework, and document and implement new features into the demo. (e.g. bluetooth beacon tech, NFC, etc)
