Job Description We are developing a new breed of bio, photonic spectrometers for non-invasive blood analysis. The new spectrometer is to provide far greater resolutions in visible light which will provide chemical analysis of blood without having to draw blood from a patient. The new spectrometer is based upon a new technology of imaging (Patents 7,529,404 and 8,159,568), which is drastically different from the present technology of software based FFT, correlation and Kelmen filters. It provides far greater resolutions (discrimination of colors) in real time, with no processing delays. We have developed the proof of the concept (by simulation of hardware filter), with astonishingly good test results. The position requires a software oriented person (in C++) with some familiarity in the visible light frequency spectrum and some understanding of chemical and biological signatures in the frequency spectrum. This is a part time position, ideal for a student working towards his or her doctoral degree to introduce the new technology through his or her thesis.
